NIE Advisory Committee Meets In New Orleans:

National Fire & Indemnity Exchange (NIE) held its 2009 annual meetings at Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans. The Subscribers' Meting featured the election of Rick Miller, Leo Soukup, Jr., and Jeanne Wolf to three year terms. The Advisory Committee Meeting featured a presentation by Endurance Re, which reinsures NIE. NIE’s CFO, Underwriting Officer, and President also gave reports. Those reports were followed by passage of seven resolutions:

1. Approval of 2008’s investment transactions.
2. Appointment of General Re New England Asset Management to manage the
    Exchange’s investment portfolio.
3. Appointment of Casualty Actuaries, Inc. to review the Exchanges’ 12/31/2009
    reserve calculations.
4. Appointment of Conner Ash, P.C. as auditor of the Exchange’s 12/31/2009
    financial statements.
5. Amend Governance Rules on Advisory Committee vacancies.
6. Election of Exchange Officers.
7. Schedule 2010 Annual Meeting June 12th in St. Louis, Missouri.
